For who?
BAAGHI speaks to young
urban rebels who see street
walls as voices of resistance,
culture, and untold stories.
BAAGHI is more than a magazine , it’s a rebellion in print. Centered on the evolution of Indian graffiti, this 16-page visual journal explores how public walls across the country have become canvases of protest, poetry, and power.ach spread blends sharp editorial writing with layered visuals, offering a gritty yet poetic lens into India’s rebellious visual underground.
With bold colors, Hindi-Urdu typography, maps, murals, and quotes that sting like slogans, BAAGHI documents a resistance that is loud, local, and unapologetically desi. From past to future, analog to augmented, it asks: Whose streets? Whose stories? Whose strokes?

Once the most talked-about chef in Kochi, Chef Zayka ran a small coastal diner famous for her unpredictable, fiery curries , “one bite heaven, next bite hell.” Her passion for perfection slowly turned into obsession. After a kitchen fire she swore the “flames spoke back,” claiming they shared her recipes.
Now confined to an asylum, Zayka still believes she’s hosting a grand cooking show every night. She orders invisible assistants, argues with the stove, and blames the rats for “stealing her spices.” The asylum kitchen has become her stage, and the fire, her only loyal friend.

FINAL CHARACHTER SHEET

FINAL CHARACHTER
The artwork depicts Chef Zayka, , in a chaotic asylum kitchen. She stands on a table, shouting orders with a spatula in hand as a giant, fiery face rises from the stove symbolizing her unstable mind and fiery temper. An elderly patient watches in terror, while rats curiously peek from the corner, adding a touch of dark humor. The warm, intense colors and exaggerated expressions capture the mix of madness, energy, and comedy that defines her world.
